New Horizons' Story

Our story is unique yet familiar. We are makers of music, the keepers of time, and creators of community, and we need your help.

Who we are - We are your community members, your business connections, and friends. We support the arts and feel that they are an integral part of a quality life.
Our members are quite diverse in every way! By age, our members span nearly every demographic, from teens to those over 95. Our members have been teachers, stay-at-home parents, doctors, grocery -store workers, or are still in school. We love music and want to experience the joy of learning.

We are located all over the world with active ensembles in North America, Ireland, and Australia. Our membership continues to grow with new groups preparing to join us.

What we do - NHIMA offers online classes, supports in-person camps, and provides tailored resources for individual ensembles. We play in festivals, care facilities, and at concerts to which we invite family and friends. Our skill levels range from beginner to advanced, and our members come to hone skills or perhaps try something new. Our premise is that there is always a place for anyone to play music, regardless of previous experience. Everything we do strengthens community ties.

Why we need your help - The world of Fine Arts has always struggled, yet it’s vital for people of all ages to have a special activity and a place to go to engage in something they love. We are that place. NHIMA is asking foryour help to make "music for life" part of your community! We need your enthusiastic endorsement as well as your financial support, and we will be back in touch. In the meantime, your enthusiastic endorsement, telling others how much satisfaction and pleasure you get from participation with New Horizons, will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
