On this page you will find information on New Horizons music camps and events. In some cases, there are forms and brochures that you can download from here. Some have links to web sites where you can get additional information, forms and brochures.
[Note: In order to have a New Horizons music camp or event posted to the NHIMA web site, the hosting organization must be a group member of NHIMA. In addition, a discount (of at least $10) must be offered to NHIMA members who attend.
Please also note that if you are planning to host a New Horizons music camp or event and you have not previously hosted such an activity, the NHIMA Board of Directors will be happy to review your plans and offer assistance and support to assure a successful and positive experience.
How to List Your Camp or Event
We have included a PDF document (click the PDF icon to the left) that contains the NHIMA Board approved procedure for having a camp/event listed on the NHIMA web site. There is also a sample document included that you may use as a guide when submitting the camp/event information.

- Please send your request and your camp details for posting on the web site to the President by clicking here. Include any documents such as brochures and registration forms as attachments to your e-mail.
- Once received and approved, the President will contact you and forward your materials to the Webmaster.
From March 1 through March 8, 2018 multiple Florida-based NHIMA bands and orchestras are conducting an Open House and are inviting you to attend one of the five sessions in the sunny state of Florida. This is a whole new type of event for NHIMA and is one that we hope you will both participate in and enjoy.

May 20-23, 2018 --University of Dayton/NHIMA Music Camp, University of Dayton Fitz Hall, Dayton, Ohio
Cascade Horizon Band, Bend, Oregon is sponsoring the “Music on the Deschutes” Band Camp, July 23-27, 2018.

March 31-April 5, 2019 -- Roswell New Horizon Band/NHIMA Music Camp, Unicoi State Park and Lodge, Helen, GA
Roswell New Horizon Band, in conjunction with NHIMA, Inc., will hold a Band Camp for New Horizon Band members and other interested adult musicians, at the Unicoi State Park and Lodge, Helen, GA, March 31-April 5, 2019.
RNHB held a successful camp at this venue in 2010; many participants have requested an encore. Once again, our faculty will include some of the best instructors in the southeastern region.
The five day schedule will include band rehearsals (concert, jazz, ethnic, regional), sectional breakouts, performances, classes, and some fun and games. There will also be plenty of time get to know fellow musicians during breaks, and while sharing meals and beverages. Before, during and after the camp activities, many will want to experience the cultural and shopping resources in the area; others will want to hike, bike, fish, raft, or zip-line.
Tuition will be approximately $300 for members. Meals and lodging will be available at competitive rates at the Lodge (our recommendation!), with an ample range of alternatives nearby.
Please put March 31 thru April 5, 2019 on your calendar; we hope to see you at the camp. We will provide more information during 2018; applications will be accepted starting in mid-2018.
